That's a very interesting organization. Hopefully you've never had to use their services...racism is awful and I'd hate to see you or anyone else hurt by it.
I live in the South US (am from North Carolina, live in Georgia now)...this part of the country has quite a long history of racism. My parents are/were from the South too, but they taught me that racism and other forms of bigotry are wrong, under any circumstances. Unfortunately I grew up around a lot of people who are prejudiced and I can't really see how they can stand to be that way. I've dealt with it toward me on a small-time basis, but I am not a minority...I don't even want to think of what it might have been like for some other people I know.
